Quick Overview

"This is an oil fingerpainting--I have not used brushes to paint since 2009. Don't worry, I wear surgical gloves. The orbiting blue flowers did not originally exist without stems. The idea to disconnect the orbs from their green stems happened midway through the painting. For me, this painting is a nice marriage of modernism and classicism. While the look and feel of the piece is familiar traditional impressionism, the concept is entirely modern and surreal. I like to think of myself as a post impressionist AND a surrealist painter, so this painting is a new favorite for me. Did you notice the orb on the bottom left is purple? - IRIS

Porcelain Orbit - {2_16" x 16"}  Two separate 16" x 16" canvases create this original oil fingerpainting polytych by Iris Scott. Wearing purple nitrile gloves, Iris applied the paint with her fingertips. (No brushes were used.) The painting is hand signed by the artist, each canvas is gallery wrapped with solid painted 1.5" edges. The artwork is wired and ready to hang upon arrival - framing is optional. Iris suggests a 1/4inch spacing between each canvas. The painting is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, hand signed, and fingerprinted by the artist. Shipping is free.
