Water Lilies of course need never be addressed with a watering can, for they grow in lakes and ponds. She doesn’t realize this, or maybe she is just being funny. I liked the concept of this image, so I handed the camera to my friend, Rhandi, “I’m going to go water to those water lilies,” I told her and winked. She rolled her eyes, “of course you are.” I waded out into the chilly lake, lifted the heavy green plastic watering can above my head and drenched the lilypads. What if this was how they got their name?
